In an interview with El Mostrador, Nadia Beller, the former partner of Fernando Cerimedo, confirmed the «closeness» of the far-right Argentine with José Antonio Kast, the current President of Chile. She mentioned that even after Kast’s election, Cerimedo expressed his intention to attend the inauguration ceremony at the National Congress in Valparaíso.
«Not being part of my circle, I don’t remember the names, but he was definitely happy when Kast won, celebrating it like a victory and saying that he planned to go to the inauguration. I know he worked there and that he also collaborated in the Constituent Assembly with some deputies and senators; I just can’t recall their names, but he told me at the time,» Beller stated to the national media.
Later, in a conversation with Radio Biobío, Beller reiterated her claims: «I’m absolutely sure he worked with Kast’s team, as he boasted about creating a new President. He was so involved in that campaign that he insisted he had to go to the inauguration… he had a work team that communicated constantly, especially on election day.»
It’s noteworthy that Beller is currently hospitalized in Bolivia, recovering from a shooting attack allegedly orchestrated by Cerimedo, who is believed to have hired hitmen to kill her, according to preliminary investigations.
In this context, she claimed that Cerimedo told her he was working «with many opinion makers and was about to sign a contract with several people running media outlets.»
«Fernando recently sold La Derecha Diario but was also acquiring other media through some acquaintances, as he always uses ‘white sticks.’ In Chile, they performed similar work, operating not only with bot farms but also with opinion generators,» Beller indicated.
According to Beller, «it was an entire work team that did the same in Honduras. He told me he was also going to participate in the second round with Keiko Fujimori; he even traveled to Peru and sent me a photo with someone from his team. He had intentions to participate in Brazil as well,» she detailed.
