Since March 2, the escalation of Israel’s offensive in Lebanon has resulted in 1,268 fatalities and 3,750 injuries.

According to the latest figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, among the deceased are 125 children, while 423 minors have suffered injuries from the bombings carried out by Israel, highlighting the severe impact of the aggression on the civilian population.

The report issued by the Emergency Operations Center detailed that in the last 24 hours, 21 individuals were killed and another 70 were injured due to attacks by the Zionist regime.

The most recent bombings have been recorded in various areas of the southern suburb of Beirut, known as Dahye.

Amid the chaos, authorities issued an evacuation order for a building located on the road to the capital’s airport, which is the only operational terminal in Lebanon.

Over One Million Lebanese Displaced

The Israeli attacks have also led to the displacement of over one million people in Lebanon since March 2, according to statistics recorded by the Risk and Disaster Unit.

The government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that its goal is to establish what it calls a «permanent security buffer zone» in southern Lebanon, aiming to push Hezbollah forces away from the Israeli border and force fighters beyond the Litani River, located about 30 kilometers north of the Israeli border.

Instead of evacuating Israeli civilians living in that region, the Zionist regime has forced residents of southern Lebanon to flee their homes.

According to data shared by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, over 80 towns and villages have been emptied, while more than 15% of the country’s population has been displaced.

The military campaign initiated by Israel in early March, concentrating on the south, east, and outskirts of Beirut, forced the displacement of over one million people.

The Netanyahu government is also promoting ground incursions and systematic bombings to ensure the return of settlers to the northern occupied territories, exerting direct control over the border to prevent future attacks on their settlements.

As reported by TeleSUR, in addition to territorial control, the Zionist regime is employing a policy of collective punishment against Lebanon, which includes «the destruction of civilian infrastructure, residential areas, and the blockade of strategic routes» to weaken the Lebanese state and force mass displacement of the population, thereby generating internal pressure against Hezbollah.
