Original article: Argentina: Adorni dejó de ser vocero de Milei pero se mantendrá como su jefe gabinete
In the face of growing scrutiny and allegations of illicit enrichment, Manuel Adorni (pictured) has stepped down as spokesperson for President Javier Milei, although he will continue to serve as Chief of Staff for the administration.
According to various Argentine media outlets, Milei has appointed National Deputy Adrián Ravier as the new spokesperson, who will also handle government communications and press conferences.
Ravier is the president of La Libertad Avanza in La Pampa and serves as the academic director of the Faro Foundation. He is also a co-author with Milei of the book «La batalla por la Macroeconomía.»
Adorni, who has been the government spokesperson since December 2023 and Chief of Staff since October 2025, is currently under investigation by the judiciary for alleged illicit enrichment, money laundering, forgery of public documents, and incompatible negotiations with public office.
The investigation is being conducted by federal judge Ariel Lijo. Notable allegations highlighted by the Argentine press include a reported 500% increase in Adorni’s wealth since he assumed his governmental roles, which includes additional properties, vehicles, and half a million dollars that have not been declared.
Furthermore, a contractor has testified that he received thousands of dollars in cash for luxury renovations at Adorni’s home in an exclusive gated community, alongside various travel expenses that exceed his declared income.
In addition, Adorni’s brother, Francisco Adorni, is also facing charges and is under investigation for allegedly omitting assets in his sworn declarations and suspected enrichment.
We will continue to provide updates.
