The polling firm Criteria has released the findings of its latest study, revealing that Camila Flores (RN) holds the lowest evaluation among senators, while the mayor of Maipú, Tomás Vodanovic tops the political ranking.

The Agenda Criteria survey, conducted on July 5, 2026, evaluated senators with over 30% public recognition. It was found that Flores, currently under investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for tax fraud in a case known as the «Flores Quota»—stemming from allegations that the lawmaker demanded cash from her aides to cover personal expenses during her tenure as a deputy—received the lowest favorable opinions, with only 21% of respondents providing positive or very positive feedback.

The study, conducted via an online panel, also presented a political ranking led by the mayor of Maipú, Tomás Vodanovic.

In the selection based on the top 20 positions of a multiplicative index of recognition and evaluation that includes various political figures such as mayors, senators, and deputies, the mayor of Maipú secured the top spot, consolidating his position as the most well-regarded figure in public evaluation.

Kast’s Approval Rating Drops to 35% While Disapproval Rises to 53%

The most recent Criteria survey also examined public perception of President José Antonio Kast, revealing a new decline in his image, as his approval fell by 4 points from the previous measurement (39%), landing at 35%, while his disapproval increased by 2 points to reach 53%, indicating a concerning downward trend in La Moneda.

Specifically, when asked: Regardless of your political stance, do you approve or disapprove of how José Antonio Kast is managing his government?, 53% disapproved, 35% approved, and 12% responded that they don’t know.

Additionally, 54% of respondents believe that under Kast’s administration, economic management has been worse or much worse than expected, and 56% share the same opinion regarding job creation. Despite this, 40% attribute the current economic situation mainly to issues inherited from the previous administration.

The perception of the country’s economic situation has also worsened: 52% think it is worse than six months ago, 43% feel their home situation is deteriorating, and 57% find it more difficult to find or improve a job.
