The promise of «order» that José Antonio Kast brought to La Moneda continues to crumble. The latest Pulso Ciudadano survey from Activa Research, released on Sunday, shows that 56.1% of respondents rate his administration’s handling of order as «poor or very poor.»
This figure indicates that fewer people agree with the government’s handling of one of the main issues facing the country.
In particular, the decline in crime control ratings is significant: from a positive evaluation of 30.4% in March to a mere 14.7% in June, representing a loss of 15.7 points in just four months.
Additionally, 57.8% believe the current administration has done «poor or very poor» regarding drug trafficking control. In March, 24.7% indicated they were satisfied with La Moneda’s management of this issue, which dropped to 17.1% by May.
The study, which surveyed 1,011 individuals nationwide from June 24 to 26, shows an increased perception of crime as a primary issue, rising from 40.3% to 51.3% in just two weeks, marking its highest level this year. This 11-point increase reflects a growing public worry, especially among higher socioeconomic sectors (69.1%), individuals over 51 years old (56.1%), and in the northern region of the country (59.7%).
According to Pulso Ciudadano, the general disapproval of Kast has reached its highest point since he took office, now at 56.9%, while his approval remains stagnant at 30.1%, showing a slight decrease of 0.4 points. This discontent is particularly intense among young people aged 31 to 40, where it stands at 61.1%, and in the Metropolitan Region at 59.8%, suggesting a widespread dissatisfaction across various population segments.
In terms of economic management, the government also fails to convince the majority. 52.5% disapprove of the economic handling, indicating that the policies implemented are not generating public confidence. This figure has consistently remained above 50% since March, reflecting a progressive deterioration in evaluations across all government areas.
Trust in the far-right leader has also reached historic lows, with 54.9% stating they have «little or no trust» in him, while 22.2% report «moderate trust«, and only 22.9% express «a lot or total trust,» as reported by CNN Chile.
This lack of trust is particularly pronounced in the northern region of the country, where it reaches 63.6%, and among those who identify politically as leftist, at 84.2%. Compared to December 2025, when Kast was the elected president with a 36% high trust rating, the accumulated drop is 13.1 points.
