Cultural Park of Valparaíso Launches Its First Concert Series Featuring Renowned Chilean Singer-Songwriters

The Cultural Park of Valparaíso (PCdV) introduces Postales, Winter Sessions, a new musical cycle that will feature three prominent figures in Chilean singer-songwriter tradition: Tata Barahona, Nano Stern, and Vicente Cifuentes, scheduled to perform on Saturdays, July 11, 18, and 25, respectively, at the venue’s theater.

Through this initiative, the Park aims to provide an innovative cultural experience that blends live music, community interaction, and cultural heritage, highlighting one of the country’s premier venues for the performing arts.

In addition to the concerts, attendees will be able to enjoy a specially prepared pre-event atmosphere at the Boulevard of the Cultural Park, located on the second level terrace of the Diffusion Building, with access from Cumming Street 590.

This space will open at 3:00 PM and feature a DJ set alongside ongoing offerings from the Miga y Miel Café & Restaurant and Láctea Bookstore, both projects established next to the theater since April of this year. Furthermore, those arriving by car can access parking within the venue.

According to PCdV officials, this proposal aims to strengthen the venue’s artistic programming and contribute to the city’s cultural dynamics, aligning with its status as a UNESCO Creative City. Additionally, it represents a commitment to producing original works that enhance and consolidate the initiatives established over its 14-year history.

Andrés Soffia, executive director of PCdV, emphasized that this inaugural cycle «is vital for the Park, not only for promoting three great artists in the national artistic scene but also because it showcases, for the first time, our capacity to create our own events, fulfilling our commitments with the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage, and enhancing our abilities and talent to create new opportunities that will strengthen the cultural identity of our region.»

Tata Barahona Kicks Off the Series

Postales, Winter Sessions centers on the works of these three musicians with performances specifically designed for each show, focusing on both technical proposals and audience experience. This cycle aims to create unique encounters between artists and audiences, while also opening the doors to new attendees.

The opening date will feature Tata Barahona & LSD, celebrating the 15th anniversary of Fotografías, an album that marked a turning point in the singer-songwriter’s career. Additionally, Barahona has been nominated for the 2026 Pulsar Awards in the Singer-Songwriter category for his latest album, Puntadas.
