Original article: Manouchehri es el liderazgo mejor evaluado de la oposición

Representative Daniel Manouchehri has surged to the second position in the ranking of positively viewed political leaders nationwide, according to the Political Leadership Monitor from Datavoz for May 2026. With 9.05% of spontaneous mentions, he surpasses even President José Antonio Kast (8.21%), establishing himself as the highest-rated opposition parliamentarian in the study, outpacing other political figures such as former President Gabriel Boric (5.42%) and Mayor Tomás Vodanovic (3.55%).
Datavoz’s report highlights: «From the perspective of the current opposition, Daniel Manouchehri is beginning to position himself as a significant figure, jumping to the second place of positive mentions (9.05%). (…) Finally, it’s interesting to note that the congressman led the emerging rankings in the previous measurement.»
«Manouchehri presents an intriguing case as he starts to occupy a more central space in the public eye. (…) This often happens with figures who transition from being marginal in political conversations to generating both support and opposition simultaneously,» explained Jorge Fábrega, director of Datavoz.
The measurement also noted a dramatic decline in Kast’s positive evaluations. From 36% in March, his approval plummeted to 14% in April and just 8% in May, while he accumulated the highest rate in negative mentions at 31%, primarily associated with attributes such as «Lies and Deceit» and «Failure and Disorder.»
The Political Leadership Monitor from Datavoz has been conducted monthly since June 2023 using spontaneous responses, without predefined lists. The May measurement was applied between the 19th and 26th of that month to 1,148 cases nationwide.
