Original article: Diputado Cuello exige transparentar cuánto ganarán Kast y sus ministros con la baja de impuestos
Following the release of asset declarations from current government officials, Deputy Luis Cuello (PC), along with several other parliamentarians, submitted a request to the Ministry of Finance urging the government to disclose the economic benefits that the President of the Republic and his ministers may gain under the proposed tax reductions in the «National Reconstruction» project.
«We believe it is essential for the government to delay the implementation of the reform until they reveal the amounts and economic benefits that these tax changes will provide,» stated the deputy.
Cuello also highlighted some of the investments declared by government officials: «At least six ministers have stakes in high-value companies, including the President of the Republic.»
«In Kast’s case, he is involved in a company — Inversiones Padua — valued at around 5 billion pesos. As for Minister Daniel Mas, who serves as both Minister of Energy and Minister of Economy, he is a participant in a company worth 43 billion pesos,» the deputy detailed.
