The Iranian retaliation against Israeli targets in occupied territories was accompanied by a fearsome warning: if the Zionist regime does not cease its attacks on Lebanon, it will face «more crushing blows that will make the enemy regret their actions.»
This announcement was made by the Central Command Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbia, the highest command body of the Iranian Armed Forces, in a statement issued on Sunday night, just hours after conducting the retaliatory operation against Israeli aggressions.
In the text released by the Persian military high command, they accused the Israeli army of repeatedly violating ceasefire agreements and intensifying hostile actions against the Lebanese population day by day.
«They carry out these actions with the support and green light from the United States, the complicit silence of the international community, and by using prohibited weapons such as phosphorus bombs, committing war crimes,» the statement denounced, highlighting that Tel Aviv has crossed all red lines despite previous warnings from Tehran.
The primary target of Iranian criticism was the Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon, particularly in the southern suburbs of Beirut known as Dahiya. According to the statement, Iran had previously warned that any escalation of crimes in that area would be met with attacks on targets in occupied territories.
«We had already warned — the military entity recalled — that if crimes in Dahiya in Beirut were to escalate, targets in the occupied territories would be attacked.«
The Persian military command demanded an immediate halt to attacks on southern Lebanon and Dahiya and warned that «if the escalation continues or responds to Iran’s actions, they will face more crushing blows, and devastating attacks will commence against the regime and its allies.»
This threat follows Tehran’s prior declaration that it would respond to any attack on that Beirut suburb, as reported by HispanTV.
The bombings on Dahiya mark the first attacks on Beirut since the extension of the ceasefire reached on June 3.
Since March 2, Israel has maintained an aggression against Lebanon, which has resulted in more than 3,613 deaths, over 11,072 injuries, and approximately 1.6 million displaced civilians.
