Original article: Israel rompe tregua que Irán extiende a todos los frentes y mantiene ataques en Líbano
Israel continued its airstrikes on Lebanese territory early Wednesday, breaking the ceasefire agreement reached between Iran and the United States (U.S.) that called for a two-week halt to hostilities across all fronts.
The 10-point plan presented by Tehran, which Washington agreed to uphold, includes the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the Middle East and a cessation of warfare on all fronts, including against Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.
Despite this, the Israeli military showed no signs of curtailing its operations, in fact intensifying its bombardments across southern Lebanon, as evidenced by videos circulating on social media.
Reports indicate that two individuals were killed during an aerial attack on a vehicle traveling in the Ras al-Ain area.
Additionally, the Israeli regime launched a similar attack on an ambulance in the city of Qalila, resulting in four deaths, according to Al Mayadeen network.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that eight people lost their lives and 28 were injured in a massacre perpetrated by occupying forces against a group of civilians in a café in Sidon, which is the country’s third-largest city, located 50 km south of Beirut.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that Israeli forces also bombarded the outskirts of Sharqiya city, as well as the areas of Sarifa, Wadi Barghaz, Khirbet Selm, Safad al-Batikh, al-Mansouri, Kafra, and Majdal Selm.
Overnight Bombardments Target Building and Hospital Damage
The violence escalated throughout the night, with Israeli warplanes attacking a building previously targeted for evacuation in the Al-Shabriha – Al-Abbasiya area of the Tyre district.
Simultaneously, the Hiram hospital in this southern Lebanese area sustained serious damage as a result of the airstrike.
Alongside the assaults in the south, Israeli attacks were recorded in the eastern part of the country, where occupation forces carried out two incursions targeting the cities of Sahmar and Yahmar in the western Bekaa Valley.
A noteworthy aspect amidst the Israeli offensive is the absence of a response from the Lebanese army.
The reporter from Al Mayadeen confirmed that «no missile or drone launches have been detected from Lebanon following the announcement of the ceasefire late Tuesday night.» However, neither the Lebanese government nor Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has issued an official statement regarding this ceasefire.
In response to the continued bombings from Tel Aviv, the armed forces have urged citizens to delay their return to southern towns and cities and to avoid approaching areas where occupation forces have advanced for their safety.
