Original article: La presidenta del Kuomintang aboga por una mayor fluidez en la circulación de talento y por ampliar intercambios China-Taiwán
In Beijing, the President of the Kuomintang, Cheng Li-wun, visited the institute affiliated with Tsinghua University on April 10, and on Saturday she traveled to the Zhongguancun Science Park, often referred to as China’s «Silicon Valley.»
Highlighting her interest in both locations, Cheng stated that innovation in science and technology, particularly in artificial intelligence and related education, will play a crucial role in the future. She mentioned being impressed by the advances she observed and expressed her hope for increased cooperation across the Strait through more open talent mobility and expanded educational exchanges.
«Today I was able to see how innovation is applied in the scientific sector and how rapid development is being driven in mainland China, and this inspires me to carry out a comprehensive modernization of Taiwan’s industry. I often say that both sides of the Strait have their own strengths, and now they should join forces to tackle problems together, and even go beyond that, for the good of the world,» said the President of the Kuomintang.
