The latest Pulso Ciudadano survey revealed that President José Antonio Kast has an approval rating of 30.1%, while disapproval has surged to 56.9%, marking a 0.2% increase from the previous assessment.
A notable change in this survey is the decreasing confidence in the President. According to ChileVisión, the percentage of individuals expressing «little or no confidence» has risen by 1.5 percentage points, now standing at 54.9%, while those with «much or total confidence» has dropped by 3.1 percentage points, currently at 22.9%.
Distrust towards the President is notably higher among people aged 31 to 40 (59.6%), residents in the northern region (63.6%), and those identifying as left-wing (84.2%), as detailed by the survey. Only among Government supporters is there a dominant high level of trust, reported at 67.7%, according to ChileVisión.
Regarding the assessment of the cabinet, Cooperativa.cl noted that 59.1% disapprove of its performance, while just 23.6% rate it positively. Furthermore, 32.4% of respondents feel the country is heading in the right direction, compared to 45.5% who believe otherwise.
When asked about the main issues facing the country, crime topped the list at 51.3% (an 11% increase from the previous survey), followed by inflation at 27.1%, unemployment at 22.6%, and public safety at 18.9%, according to data released by Cooperativa.cl.
Finally, regarding the constitutional accusation against former minister Nicolás Grau, 38.3% expressed agreement with the measure, 19.8% disagreed, and 41.9% remained neutral, according to publicly available information.
