Just one day after being announced as the new Seremi of Cultures for the Metropolitan Region, actor Renato Munster reported that he must step down from the position due to personal reasons.
«Unfortunately, due to urgent personal matters, I will not be able to assume the position of Seremi for which I was appointed,» Munster stated on his social media account on X.
«Despite my enthusiasm and the excitement I have for taking on this significant challenge, I must focus on addressing my personal situation. I hope to collaborate with public service soon, and I believe my experience in cultural management and artistic work will benefit the country,» added the national actor.
Following Munster’s resignation announcement, Minister Francisco Undurraga expressed gratitude for the actor’s «commitment.»
«I regret that we cannot benefit from his experience, but I understand his personal reasons. We trust that you will find a quick solution to work together,» commented the Secretary of State.
As of the time of this report, the government had not yet officially stated who would take over the position left by Renato Munster.
