Original article: “El enemigo ha sufrido una derrota innegable”: Irán instala un relato de victoria tras tregua y negociación con EE.UU.
«The enemy has suffered an unquestionable, historic, and crushing defeat in its cowardly, illegal, and criminal war against the Iranian nation,» declared the Supreme National Security Council of Iran regarding the ceasefire and negotiations with the United States (U.S.).
After 40 days of jointly initiating a war against the Islamic nation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to the 10-point plan proposed by Tehran, which resulted in a two-week ceasefire.
In a statement, the Council emphasized that this agreement does not signify the end of the war and that Iran will remain ready to respond decisively if the enemy makes the slightest mistake, «retaliating with all its strength.»
It stated that during the initial days of the war, «Iran achieved a significant victory and forced criminal America to accept its ten-point plan.»
Thus, the Trump administration initially committed to assuring non-aggression, maintaining Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, accepting uranium enrichment, lifting all primary and secondary sanctions, repealing all UN Security Council resolutions, compensating Iran, withdrawing U.S. combat forces from the region, and stopping the war on all fronts, including against the heroic Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.
In response to the joint aggression launched by Washington and Tel Aviv in the early hours of Saturday, February 28, Tehran retaliated with numerous waves of ballistic missiles and drones targeting Israeli territory and U.S. bases in the Middle East.
In a statement reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Supreme National Security Council highlighted that «Islamic Iran, together with the brave resistance fighters in Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and occupied Palestine, has dealt blows to the enemy in the past 40 days that the historical memory of the world will never forget.»
It noted that they managed to crush enemy forces, facilities, infrastructures, and all their political, economic, technological, and military capabilities «to the extent that the enemy has fallen into despair and sees no option but to surrender to the will of the great Iranian nation and the noble axis of resistance.»
Additionally, it stated that Israel and the U.S. underestimated the response capabilities of Iranian forces.
«They thought that the fire from Iran’s missiles and drones would quickly diminish and did not believe that Iran could provide such a powerful response beyond its borders and throughout the region,» it remarked.
According to the Council, «global evil Zionism had convinced the reckless U.S. president that this war would eliminate Iran and that by removing this last bastion of humanity, they could commit any crime against whomever they wished,» dreaming that by attempting to divide, plunder its oil and wealth, they would leave the Iranians «in chaos, instability, and insecurity for many years.»
However, «the brave warriors of Islam and their courageous allies in the resistance axis» decided to teach them a historic lesson once and for all: «to avenge all their past crimes and create conditions under which the enemy will forever forget the idea of aggression.»
It emphasized that Iran and the resistance almost completely destroyed the U.S. military machine in the Middle East and inflicted devastating blows on the mass of infrastructures and facilities «that the enemy had built and deployed in the region over the years for this war against Iran, causing enormous casualties to the criminal U.S. military on a regional scale, inflicting crushing blows on enemy forces, infrastructures, facilities, and assets within the occupied territories, and applying pressure on all fronts to the point that it did not achieve any of its main objectives.»
It stated that in light of this response, Washington realized, about ten days after the war began, that it could not win in any way, and for this reason, it began attempting to communicate with Iran through various channels and methods to seek a ceasefire.
«Iran has also repeatedly rejected deadlines set by the U.S. president and continues to emphasize that it places no importance on any type of deadline from the enemy,» the Council stressed, while clarifying that the decision to agree to a two-week ceasefire has the unified support of the entire nation.
The Council reaffirmed that the goal is to continue this battle «for as long as necessary until its significant achievements are consolidated and new security and political equations are established in the region based on the acceptance of Iranian power, sovereignty, and resistance.»
Moreover, it indicated that negotiations with the U.S. would take place in Islamabad (the capital of Pakistan) starting Friday, April 12, so that «within a maximum of 15 days, with the finalization of the details of Iran’s victory on the battlefield, they can also be consolidated in political negotiations.»
In the statement, it noted that the 10-point plan grants Iran a unique economic and geopolitical position, given the need to end the war against all elements of the Resistance Axis, «which would signify the historic defeat of the aggression of the child-killing Israeli regime and the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from all bases and deployment sites in the region.»
For the Islamic nation, the ceasefire «does not mean the end of the war,» thus insisting that the details of the plan be finalized in negotiations in Islamabad, which will be conducted «with total distrust toward the U.S. side» for a period of two weeks that may be extended by agreement between the parties.
«If the enemy’s surrender on the battlefield becomes a decisive political achievement in the negotiations, we will celebrate this great historic victory together; otherwise, we will fight side by side on the battlefield until all the demands of the Iranian nation are met,» asserted the Supreme National Security Council.
