UACh Implements Academic Suspension for Four Students Following Minister Lincolao’s Visit Incidents

The Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) announced the conclusion of internal disciplinary processes related to the events that transpired on April 8 during the visit of Science Minister Ximena Lincolao.

In the statement, university officials clarified that «upon completing the investigation phase, and without disregarding the confidentiality and personal data protection regulations governing our disciplinary procedures, the Universidad Austral de Chile deems it appropriate to communicate the results.»

«In accordance with the regulations, the internal investigation confirmed the involvement of four university students in the aforementioned events, leading to academic suspensions based on their level of responsibility: one student received a suspension of three semesters, another student was suspended for two semesters, and two students were each suspended for one semester,» they noted.

These decisions have already been communicated to each affected student, as stated by the Communications Department of UACh.
