Submissions Open for the 9th Music Festival al Margen Calling Emerging Bands from the Metropolitan Region

The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Juan Estay Cultural Center in Puente Alto, establishing itself as a key platform for musicians who have had limited opportunities for exposure and seek to perform under professional conditions, sharing the stage with established artists.

Organized by the Cine Ideas Cultural Center and the Ojo Indiscreto production company, the festival is intended for bands with a maximum of three years of experience, open to any musical style, provided they have original compositions.

This edition will also feature a tribute to Mario «Pogo» Carneyro, the vocalist of the band Los Peores de Chile, who passed away in October 2022, as a way to honor his legacy in the Chilean music scene.

Application Dates

The application process will remain open until Friday, August 14, 2026, at 23:59 hours. Results of the pre-selection will be communicated starting from September 14.

The jury will consist of Pedro Melo, a musician and music producer known for his work with Joe Vasconcellos, Santaferia, and Entrama; Javier Sanfeliú, an advertising creative director with a notable background at Radio Concierto, Futuro, Zero, Pauta, and TVN; Juan Guillermo Carrasco, a communications professional specializing in music and a collaborator with media outlets such as Rockaxis, Bulldozer Radio, and Musicadecolor.com, who is currently a founding partner of the Red Exodia Agency; and Beto Arán, a music journalist with over 20 years of experience in outlets like Vía X, Rockaxis, and LOS90.CL.

The festival will award significant prizes geared towards the professional development of the winning bands: the first place will receive recording, mixing, and mastering of three musical tracks; the second place will be able to work on two singles; and the third place will get one.

Additionally, all winning groups will receive an audiovisual recording in a closed circuit with four cameras as promotional material.
