José “Pepe” Mujica has died. This time, at 89, he decided it was time to go, as announced on Tuesday by Uruguay’s president, Yamandú Orsi, on social media. “This is as far as I go,” Mujica had said back in January. But it wasn’t so easy for him to leave us behind. Not 50 years ago either, when he was shot six times.
